Ultrapure water has a very low conductivity, typically around 0.055 ?S/cm at 25°C. This means that almost no ions are present in ultrapure water, so electricity can hardly pass through. The application of ultrapure water is very extensive, and the monitoring of the conductivity value of ultrapure water is also very important. In the pharmaceutical industry, monitoring the conductivity value of ultrapure water can ensure the purity of drugs. In the electronics industry, monitoring the conductivity value can ensure the cleanliness of electronic components and avoid the impact of water quality on the performance of electronic components. In the food industry, ultrapure water is used to prepare food and clean food processing equipment. In addition, the current production of hydrogen fuel cells also requires the use of ultra-pure water, because ordinary tap water contains impurities and dissolved substances, and these impurities may have adverse effects on hydrogen fuel cells, resulting in performance degradation or damage to fuel cells. It is also necessary to monitor the conductivity value of ultrapure water.
So how to measure the conductivity value of ultrapure water?
The AEC1-T series Conductivity Controller developed and produced by Daruifuno can be connected with a stainless steel conductivity electrode. The K constant can be selected. If measuring ultrapure water, a conductivity electrode with a K constant of 0.01 should be selected, and its measurement range is 0.05~20μS/cm. The ASCK-0.01 stainless steel conductivity electrode is made of all stainless steel 316LSS, the working temperature is 0~100°C, the temperature sensor is a high-precision PT1000, 10m wire, and the pressure resistance is 5bar. The conductivity controller is configured with 2 channels of 4-20mA current output and 2 SPST relays by default, and it is optional to have RS485 interface. The controller can be installed in a cabinet, and the AC or DC power supply is optional.
