What is a combination pH electrode?

There are two types of combination pH sensors, refillable and non-refillable, on the market today. The reference electrode of a PH Sensor filled with a liquid electrolyte requires a lot of maintenance and must be refilled after a while. This results in increased workload for maintenance personnel. Therefore, at present, many industrial online pH sensors are filled with gel or crystal, and this low-maintenance electrode is the mainstream of current sales.

The pH sensor produced by our company is this non-fillable pH combination electrode. First of all, it is packaged in ABS or PPS shell, which can play a protective role. And the shell has mounting threads, which makes the installation more convenient. The indicator electrode is a hemispherical glass membrane with low impedance and high sensitivity. The reference adopts a porous tetrafluoromembrane, which has fast penetration and fast response. The reference system is a double salt bridge design. KCl solid gel, which prolongs the life of the sensor and is suitable for various water quality conditions.
