Ozone Probe, also called online
Ozone Sensor, is an instrument that supports online monitoring of ozone content in water. It is designed for various water treatment industries that use ozone disinfectants. It adopts the film covering ampere principle, is easy to use, has low maintenance costs, does not consume chemical reagents, and has stable and accurate measurements. It can be equipped with the ADS2-OZ controller to achieve online monitoring control and data recording and output functions.
Ozone is a strong oxidant with high bactericidal ability and can effectively kill bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in water. In the sewage treatment process, ozone is usually added to the last treatment link, that is, the effluent from the secondary sedimentation tank or the water body after advanced treatment, to ensure that the water quality meets the standard requirements. Ozone disinfection can effectively remove organic matter, odor and color in water, and improve the safety and reliability of water quality. However, the ozone content needs to be maintained within a safe range.

Precautions for using ozone probe
The membrane cap of the probe is a vulnerable part, once damaged it cannot be repaired. The ozone probe can be used only after adding electrolyte. Failure to add electrolyte or wrong method of adding electrolyte will lead to inaccurate or fluctuating measured values. For the specific method of adding electrolyte, you can refer to our video tutorial. After adding the electrolyte, it is necessary to pass water and electricity to the sensor within 10 minutes. If the electrode after adding electrolyte is stored in the air for more than 10 minutes, the membrane cap will be damaged. Electrodes need to work continuously in water containing disinfectant. If stored in water without disinfectant for more than 12 hours, the membrane cap will be damaged. At the end of the measurement, the electrolyte should be drained, rinsed thoroughly, and stored after drying. Residual electrolyte that is not cleaned will lead to complete damage to stored electrodes and membrane caps.
