How to treat fluoride wastewater?
For high-concentration fluorine-containing industrial wastewater, the calcium salt precipitation method is generally used, that is, adding lime to the wastewater to cause fluoride ions and calcium ions to form CaF2 precipitation and remove it. Since fluoride is not the only pollutant to be removed from wastewater, the appropriate treatment method must be selected based on the actual situation. For example, when sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate are dissolved in fluorine-containing wastewater, an effective treatment method is to first use inorganic acid to adjust the pH of the wastewater to between 6 and 8, and then react with calcium chloride to effectively remove fluoride ions. If the wastewater contains phosphate ions, first treat it with lime until the pH is greater than 7, and then separate the sediment. For fluorine-containing wastewater with complex composition, acid can be used to reverse pH adjustment.
However, in the actual treatment process of fluoride-containing wastewater, cheap carbide slag is often used instead of lime, and the slag is easy to dehydrate and precipitate. According to the proportion of 10% of the wastewater, put the carbide slag into the wastewater, use mechanical stirring to neutralize it, control the pH between 5.5 and 6.5, and discharge it into the sedimentation tank. The neutralization effect is similar to that of limestone.
In short, pH value is a very important indicator when treating fluoride-containing wastewater. The ASP124E hydrofluoric acid-resistant pH electrode can be used with the APX series pH controller. The controller has two relays, which can set high and low alarms, automatically control dosing, and control the pH value of the solution within a certain range.
