    ORP is an abbreviation for Oxidation-Reduction Potential, also known as Oxidation-Reduction Potential Value. It is an index to measure the redox ability of a solution. The Digital ORP Sensor developed and produced by Daruifuno has an RS485 digital interface, which can be directly connected to industrial control equipment to output data. It is necessary to monitor the value of ORP in the waterworks, especially in some aspects of water treatment. For example, monitoring the ORP value in raw water can help determine the concentration of oxidizing and reducing substances in the water, as well as whether there are harmful substances. In the process of coagulant dosing, monitoring the value of ORP can help determine the appropriate dosage of coagulant to achieve the best coagulation effect. Similarly, in the flocculant dosing process, using a digital ORP Sensor to monitor the ORP value can help determine the flocculant dosage to achieve the best flocculation effect. In the process of chlorine disinfection, monitoring the ORP value can determine the appropriate dosage of chlorine to ensure the disinfection effect of water. In short, in many aspects of tap water treatment, ORP content needs to be monitored.


    DRH790 is a digital ORP sensor with accurate measurement and stable data. It has the following characteristics:

    In different water treatment links of waterworks, the range of ORP value requirements is also different:
    1. In the raw water treatment stage, the ORP value is usually required to be -200~200mV. At this stage, a digital ORP sensor is used to measure the ORP value to evaluate the redox property of the raw water to determine whether further treatment is required.
    2. In the stage of coagulation and flocculation, the ORP value is usually required to be -100~100mV. In this stage, the measured value of ORP is used to evaluate the dosage of coagulation and flocculants to promote the aggregation and sedimentation of suspended solids.
    3. In the activated carbon adsorption stage, the ORP value is usually -300~-200mV. The ORP value can be used to evaluate the performance of activated carbon adsorption, removal of organic matter and chlorine and other substances.
    4. In the deep filtration stage, the main purpose is to remove smiling particles and residual organic matter, and the ORP value ranges between -200~-100mV. The digital ORP sensor can help monitoring the ORP value continuously.
    5. In the disinfection stage, the ORP range is 600~800mV to ensure that the disinfectant, especially chlorine, kills bacteria and pathogens.
