Chloride ion is a common pollutant in water, and its concentration directly affects the quality of water. Therefore, efficient and accurate chloride ion sensors are of great significance for monitoring water quality. The principle of the Chloride Ion Sensor is based on the working principle of the ion selective electrode (ISE). ISE is an electrochemical sensor that selectively responds to changes in the concentration of specific ions. Daruifuno's Chloride Ion Probe consists of two electrodes, one is the reference electrode and the other is the working electrode. The function of the reference electrode is to provide a stable potential and measure the potential change of the electrode. The working electrode is the electrode that selectively responds to chloride ions.
When chloride ions enter the ISE, they react with specific chemicals on the surface of the working electrode, creating a change in potential. This potential change is proportional to the concentration of chloride ions, and by measuring the potential difference between the working electrode and the reference electrode, the concentration of chloride ions in the water can be calculated.
The advantages of the chloride ion sensor are fast response, high accuracy and easy to use. Chloride ion sensors are widely used in water quality monitoring, swimming pool water treatment, drinking water treatment and other fields. At the same time, the chloride ion sensor also has some limitations. It is highly sensitive to environmental factors such as temperature and pH value, and needs to be calibrated and maintained.
