The RS485 water treatment probe & sensor?is a valuable investment, and proper maintenance can extend its lifespan. After use, clean the electrode head with deionized water to avoid acidic or alkaline solutions. Regular calibration is essential to ensure accuracy, and most digital pH controllers allow users to set calibration points freely. When not in use, store the sensor in a dry, light-proof, and stable environment, with the electrode head submerged in KCL solution to prevent drying and damage. Avoid exposing the electrode to high or extreme temperatures during normal use.
Over time, if the water treatment sensor's response slows or measurements become inaccurate, it may be time for replacement. Typically, in drinking water, tap water, and domestic sewage environments, the RS485 Water Treatment Sensor has a service life of about 6 to 12 months based on customer feedback.
