Product Description

The absorption spectrum of the visible light band of chlorophyll has a significant absorption peak in blue light and red light, and the position of the absorption peak and the size of extinction value vary with the chlorophyll species. One of the strongest absorption spectrum regions is in the red part with a wavelength of 640nm-660nm, and the other in the blue-violet part with a wavelength of 420nm-450nm, almost no absorption of green light, so chlorophyll is green under transmitted light, but red under reflected light, which is the fluorescence emitted by chlorophyll after being excited by light. The DUC2-CHL chlorophyll meter can be connect with the fluorescence Chlorophyll Sensor to measure water chlorophyll a value.
Because chlorophyll a is present in all green plants, it is one of the most commonly used indicators for characterizing phytoplankton biomass in environmental testing, and is often used to study eutrophication of water quality, when the content of chlorophyll a is greater than 10ug/L, the water body has been eutrophic. Fluorescence analysis method is mainly to detect chlorophyll a in chlorophyll, when chlorophyll a molecules are irradiated with ultraviolet light can emit characteristic red fluorescence, its fluorescence intensity is proportional to the concentration of chlorophyll a, so this method can quantitatively analyze chlorophyll a.

Features
